Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 October 2026

This policy explains how wayward (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and looks after your personal information when you use wayward.au. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

We don’t collect sensitive information, and we don’t run advertising trackers or analytics on wayward.au.

Why we use it

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. We only send marketing with your consent, as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth).

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that run the store for us:

These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in Canada and the United States. We use providers who protect personal information to a standard comparable to Australian privacy law.

Cookies

See our Cookie Policy for the small amount of information the site keeps in your browser.

How long we keep it

We keep sign-up details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, guesses only as long as the competition needs them, and order records as long as the law requires (for example, for tax). Information we no longer need is deleted or de-identified.

Your choices and rights

We’ll respond within 30 days. You can deal with us anonymously or by pseudonym where that’s practical, but we need real contact details to deliver an order.

Security

Information is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored with providers that secure their systems. No system is perfectly secure, so if something goes wrong that is likely to cause you serious harm, we’ll tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

Store policies

Orders are also covered by our Refund Policy and the store’s checkout privacy policy on Shopify.

Questions or complaints

Email [email protected]. If you’re not happy with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We’ll update this page if how we handle your information changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
